Read LK and Birthday update

A great new reading initiative is spreading through Letterkenny- Read LK! With the caption “Get Letterkenny Reading”, it is an inspiring way to get the community engaging in one conversation. Siobhan Parkinson’s book ‘Four Kids, Three Cats, Two Cows, One Witch (Maybe) is the topic of choice. There is also a creative writing competition for adults over the age of 18 years, under the title of “Journey”. All details can be found on the Read LK Facebook page. An update on Sprints upcoming 20th birthday event on the 8th March 2012! All our primary art entries have been sent off to be judged, looking forward to seeing the winning pieces! We will be in touch with the winners, which will be invited to our shop on our birthday to recieve their prizes! Remember everyone is welcome to call into our Letterkenny shop on Thurs 8th March for some tea/coffee and refreshments and lots of discounts/giveaways!

Sprints 20th Birthday Celebrations!

Sprint Educational Supplies are celebrating their 20th Birthday this year and would like to invite you all to call into the Letterkenny shop on Thursday the 8th of March, to join in on the celebrations. This is an opportunity for us to thank all our customers over the years for your continued support. It will be a fun filled day, with refreshments/tea/coffee and much more. We are offering a 10% discount to our customers on that day only. (excluding books and current special offers/promotions) There will be hourly spot prizes from 12-7pm. Secondary school students are welcome to call down and enter their names into a draw to win a revision hamper! The winner will be announced after 4pm. Sprint Educational Supplies New Look Website

Sprint Educational Supplies, founded by Thomas Gallagher over 20 years ago, has been a successful long standing business in both Letterkenny and Donegal Town. From its two Donegal branches, Sprint supplies stationery and educational products across the county and beyond. Now the company is looking to expand its reach even further with the launch of its new website, allowing customers to shop online from the comfort of their own home, school or office. We recently got together with Thomas to ask him about this exciting transition and how it has affected his business.
Thomas expresses what motivated him to start selling online. “Consumer trends are changing – more and more people are doing their buying online these days. Our website represents a convenient way for our customers to check out our products, and also helps us expand our potential customer base, not just nationally but internationally too.”
He also describes the biggest change in this transition. “Less face to face time with the customer means that our main message has to get across via the website. Luckily our site has a very user-friendly interface that is really easy to use, and I think people will see that our products are available at very competitive prices compared to other online retailers. The adaption of pricing structure is paramount to building a successful online presence. Over time our online sales have increased, particularly in the summer months when we ran our popular “back to school” offers.”
